Altandhu

Altandhu is a great village with every thing you need and close to Achiltibuie. There is a great pub 1/4 of a mile up the road (3 miles to get back if you are slightly intoxicated) which offers food and take away. We got caught out the first time we went to the pub as they don't accept cards, so take cash. There is also a well kept pool table in the pub.

Altandhu also has a fantastic wee shop that has EVERYTHING in it. But be aware the shop does not open on Sundays. About 2 1/2 miles west of Altandhu is aHarbor with lots of small vessels.

You have to be careful in rush hour in Altandhu as you only have 15 minutes between each car to get across the road.

Its a very safe and comfortable environment and is fairly well sheltered because of the Summer Isles. We hope you'll enjoy your stay in Altandhu.
