Hi Mark, We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at Locholly. The house is first class – we have stayed at many properties in that area, but yours has been the best. The quality of everything was top notch and the homeserver system was brilliant (including your choice of music).

The sauna and hot-tub was excellent, and those were actually what swung the booking for us, as we had previously stayed in a house along at Altandu called “Laide of Reiff 244″, which was also top quality, but they do not have hot-tub and sauna, so we decided to come to yours and we’re so glad we did. Thank you for allowing us to share your piece of heaven, and we WILL be back when we are able.

Regards, David and Pauline Hutton

Hi Mark
Happy new year and I hope the skiing with the family was really good for all.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Locholly, what impressed more than anything was the attention to detail and that all services, fixtures & fittings were of the highest standards. It takes a while getting used to relaxing but my memories of gazing through that first floor window will last until my next visit!! I reckon I fell asleep once but my family would disagree.
I have no problem in recommending your property to my family and friends in fact I am already doing that.
Kind regards and all the very best for 2012.

Just wanted to let you know we had a lovely stay at Locholly Lodge, what a beautiful place and the views are amazing!  We forgot to write in the guest book so thought I’d drop you an email instead.

The weather was not great, but that didn’t matter.  We ate at Fuaran Bar too, the food was lovely and if we had stayed longer would definitely have went back.

We will be looking to book up again soon for next year and hopefully will be able to stay longer!

Hi Mark

Sorry for not getting back to you, sometimes it`s just the speed of life, which we have little control over. However we must say what a fantastic time we all had back in September, we have sent you some pictures, I hope they portray how great the cottage is.

Please enjoy.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your note.
We had an excellent time at Locholly and the surrounding area – a beautiful spot. Couldn’t fault the accommodation – first class and spotless on arrival. Wifi and the other technology an essential when you have kids wired permanently to the net!
The only little blip was the hot tub which decided to go faulty on our last day. Your maintenance man made every effort to solve the problem, but had to concede to a warranty job. We also met the housekeeper who popped by to make sure all was ok – very polite and helpful.
Thanks again
Graham

Hi Mark and Sadie

Thanks for the email, the house was wonderful, warm and the , views spectacular (when we could see them) also the hot tub was brilliant after a long day on the hills in the “Scottish” weather. We certainly didn’t miss our annual trip to Skye and in fact had our best ever otter spot in the bay to the left of the house, one last thing the Fauran Bar was excellent so thanks for the recommendation.

We would certainly come again and might look at a week in April.

Cheers

Please accept my most sincere apologies for not replying sooner to your e-mail of 24 August-once you return to the rat-race, you forget all about the absolutely fantastic week we spent in your fabulous Locholly Lodge from 12-19 August!!!

May I both thank and congratulate you on a most amazing house-calling it a cottage just does not do it credit!!

It is without doubt, one of the best holidays we have all spent-from our arrival after a long journey on 19th to our sad farewell on the 19th, we all had the most wonderful time delighting in everything about the wilderness in that part of Scotland.

The house is truly magnificent and there is nothing which the holidaymaker can want for-the stereo/surround system is the best I have ever heard or seen! The hot tub was a delight especially after our climb up Stac Polly as was the sauna, both of which were used every day!

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about our stay and we will definitely be back as soon as we can-in fact, everyone I have spoken with since our return has been “bored to death” about your house and the scenery in Achiltibuie-truly memorable and the offer of a 10% discount off future bookings will make us want to return sooner rather than later!!

Thank you once again!!

Best wishes

Regards
Peter

Hi Mark & Sadie
In our haste to get packed up and away on Friday morning, I forgot to put an entry in your Visitor’s Book which is regretful.
To mention, we had an absolutely fantastic time at Locholly Lodge – the house was amazing with lots of space for three generations of family to enjoy the tranquility of Achiltibuie.  We were very fortunate with the weather so could make the most of the stunning views over the Summer Isles from the hot tub (have to say the hot tub was a firm favourite for everyone after a long day walking and sightseeing!).  Our kids loved Achnahaird Beach which is a beautiful beach and very handy for Achiltibuie.  We took in the Falls of Kirkaig and travelled up to Smoo Cave at Durness which was well worth a visit.  We also visited Ullapool and Lochinver – the views in the area are amazing and makes me feel really proud to be Scottish.
Thank you once again for letting us share in the beauty of Locholly Lodge and wish you both every success with the properties in the future.vee
Couple of photos attached which were captured on the walk down in front of the house – the darkness bet us around the coastline but we managed to capture a beautiful sunset and Caitlin got to build her cairn so everyone was happy!
Kind regards
Lorna

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your email.
We have just arrived back in Glasgow as we went to the Isle of Lewis after we left Locholly Lodge.

We had 2 wonderful weeks in Locholly. The house is just perfect, everything is of great quality, from the kitchen utensils to the fluffy towels. The house is clean, fresh and with a lot of space to relax and enjoy a day in if the weather is playing up. We were very lucky as we only had 2 days of persistent rain and we used the opportunity to enjoy the wood burning stove. The Homeserver system is very good too if you are staying in, great for the kids. The sauna and the hot tub add an extra dimension to the holiday. We used them almost everyday. The sauna was a delight to come home to, cold and wet after sailing.

We will be coming back and some of our friends have already asked for the website address of the house after seeing our photos. Thank you also for being so hands on and being permanently available to sort any minor problems. It can make all the difference.
