Hi Mark, We had a lovely time at Windyhill and the cottage was so comfortable, first time I have been as far up in Scotland and the scenery was really breathtaking, the weather was very cold  and windy but we were well prepared for it and enjoyed  curling up in front of the fire when we came home  from our long walks, the  white sandy beaches are amazing. Teddy and Mindy our Labradoodles had a great time walking and swimming in the sea and were looking so depressed for a few days after comming homer. But we still had a good time . Thanks   Mary Roberts .

Thank you Mark!
We all had a lovely time and would love to come back with a bigger group next time. It’s a gorgeous part of the world and the set up is fantastic, right on the whiskey estate. I’ll try and come up w/ some photos for you. Thanks again for having us. We’d love to come back.

Merry Xmas!

Abby

Dear Mark

Thank you for the opportunity to review the cottage. We found Stac Polly spacious and well-appointed, with the big windows ideal for allowing us to enjoy the stunning views while sheltering from the elements! The hot-tub was excellent, the beds comfortable, and you have some great music on the home entertainment system. All in all, a great holiday, and we will definitely recommend the cottage to our friends.

Thanks

Erica and Adam Carter

Mark & Sadie

Just wanted to let you know we had a lovely stay at Locholly Lodge, what a beautiful place and the views are amazing!  We forgot to write in the guest book so thought I’d drop you an email instead.

The weather was not great, but that didn’t matter.  We ate at Fuaran Bar too, the food was lovely and if we had stayed longer would definitely have went back.

We will be looking to book up again soon for next year and hopefully will be able to stay longer!

Hi Mark

Sorry for not getting back to you, sometimes it`s just the speed of life, which we have little control over. However we must say what a fantastic time we all had back in September, we have sent you some pictures, I hope they portray how great the cottage is.

Please enjoy.

Regards

Mike Wood

Hi Mark & Sadie

We had a fantastic stay at the Bothy.  It started with a friendly welcome from Colin, Lisa and Ella; the wine and biscuits were a nice touch and much appreciated after a (very) long drive.
The Bothy itself, was warm, cosy and had all of the basic requirements that you could expect given its compact size.
As far as the location, being situated on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, there was plenty to do.  As keen Mountain Bikers the secure storage and use of the hose for washing the bikes proved to be essential.
Would definitely recommend and would return, given the opportunity.

Dear Mark & Sadie,
The house layout is just ideal and a perfect place to relax.  Access to open country is superb and we managed a walk on 5 of 6 days.  The weather was good enough to get to the top of Stac Pollaidh in t-shirts one day, and then we finished the week with a tremendous climb to the top of Ben More from Culnacraig!  Fabulous views and some good scrambling to get there with one of the best ridge walks I’ve been on.
The local bar was excellent, serving delicious fresh fish in a friendly atmosphere.  Just a torchlit stroll along the road.  Wi-fi was very useful to keep teenage kids connected and happy, and for me to deal with a couple of issues with work.
Regardless of the 10 hour journey from Nottingham we are already thinking of returning next summer and have our eyes on a week in August – despite the midges!  The bog myrtle spray purchased in the Polbain stores seems to keep them away, though the smell is a bit strange.
If you are offering a discount for a return booking then that might be the clincher!
Oh, and just one bit of equipment missing from the kitchen – a set of tongs.  Nearly dropped my bacon off the fork one morning….  Can’t think of anything else needed.
Regards
Jonathan Duncan

Dear Mark and Sadie,

We had a wonderful week at Windyhill. The weather was as bad as we have ever seen it up there, but we were just saying , it didn’t really matter because the accommodation was so nice. We really enjoyed being in the warmth and comfort while the storms raged outside. We spent a lot of time sitting in that wonderful window staring out at the the wild sea!

We did drive past your new places at Achiltibuie, they look great. We will definitely be booking again some time in the future as we’re regular visitors to the west coast so do keep us informed.

Thanks again, all the best,

Sarah Scott.
