House was really warm and well equipped

Had a bit of snow on the way to Hillview cottage just past the Lecht. Not enough for skiing though. Did some great walks with the dogs. Not sure what they think of the highland coo's! House was really warm and well equipped. Can roccommend the Poachers Inn for food and the hotel in Ballindalloch as well. Love the smell of the whisky fumes when walking through the distillery. Sure the dogs walked a bit funny atferwards. Had a trip to Inverness took about 45 minutes. Also went to Aviemore. See its had a face lift since we were there last - some 10 years ago. Gone is the concrete centre and replaced by a snazzy hotel. Had lunch in the food court there. Very nice. A week is never enough, will deff have to come back and visit to see what its like in the summer.
