The Glenlivet area is fantastic

Wonderful house and spacious for all of us. Lots of room and a den to keep the kids happy. We have had lots of walks and cycles, with the walk to Drumin castle especially good and very scenic.

We ended up having the last two days with lots of snow and had numerous hours of fun on our sledges.

The Glenlivet area is fantastic and we have barely scratched the surface so will be definately back.

Many thanks and would recommend the accommodation to everyone.
Happy New Year and all the best for 2008.

The house is stunning

Arrived at Hillview late Saturday night. The house is stunning. Perfect exactly what we needed. Didn't site see or visit anywhere apart from Glenlivet Distillery and park. Here to relax with my family. 7 days and nights at Hillview. Silent, peaceful with gorgeous veiws. Didn't have to go anywhere. The house couldn't be better equipped (for toddlers). Everything we need was here at Hillview.

We had a great week

We had a great week. We enjoyed the distillery tour (3 times) including the free dram. Would recommend the Abielour Distillery (call early) tour. There is a coop in Avielour that is good for getting small groceries. Would not reccommend the Glenfiddich tour (a little smokey).
The cooperage is great for kids. The packhores bridge is a picturesque spot just down the road. The smokehouse is short and a bit overrated.
The house could use some large pans, black out shades on kids rooms for early sun ( owner comment - bought new large pans and all rooms now have blackout blinds). The new BBQ was great and facilities great!

Hope you have as great a holiday as we did

Have had a fantastic week, house is wonderful - spacious, comfortable and beatifully done out.

We have been sledging, skiing at the Lecht, cycling along the spey way and walking along the Findhorn River (Randolphs Leap is impressive).

Would recommend Just Art in Fochaber, if you like good art galleries also has lovely jewelry.

Best meal out was at the hotel near junction at Ballindalloch - lovely food and very child friendly (we arrived with 6!). The Glen Avon in Tomintoul was also child friendly.

Good play park in Aberlour, by the river. Also soft play at Coylumbridge nr Hilton hotel great for very wet days (up to age 12).

Hope you have as great a holiday as we did!
