The house is a true home from home – we came seeing returne from the daily pressures of every day life and certainly
found it at Windyhill! The seats in front of the window have been well used. Brilliant watching dusk creed accross the bay – no lights on in the house for full
effect!
The walk from Reiff is breath taking for pounding surf & plunging cliffs – loads of birds too, not bird watchers so no idea what we saw.
Enard Bay walk so good we did it twice during our stay. A must for seal spotting & stunning views of the mountains. If you are truley beach lovers make the 11/2 hr
drive to Blairmore & walk in to Sandwood Bay – magical place – if you’re lucky like we were you’ll have the whole expanse of goldes sands to yourself. Breathtaking
beautiful!
Park up by the youth hostel sign just out of Polglass & enjoy some rock hopping – just follow the river dows to the sea & take your pick left or right – if you go at low tide tofe draw is lovely & sandy – Also seal spotting territory.
Falls of Kirkaig impressive, walk past them for 30 minuts towards suilven for solitude & stunning views of the mountain.
Achmelvich Beach Beautiful & also deserts! Polbair stores great for just about everything. Am Fuaran bar serves quality home cooked food – Haddock melts in tilt mounty. All in all a fantastic holiday – Been coming to Scotland for 15 yrs now – This tops the list so far.
Can’t wait to return.
