We came for a break from the 9-5 and to experience a rugged part of Scotland

We have had all weathers this week sun, snow wind & only a touch of rain. It has been spectacular watching from the windows here at Windyhill. We have a 2 year old so can’t report on any main walks or climbs. She has had a great time playing shops with the vegetable rack however!

We have eaten out quite alot and have been impressed with restaurants compared to our last Scotland visit near onich (Argyll). We can particularly recommend 2 places in Ullapool, very good food & very child friendly. The Celidh place & The calledonian Hotel. We have been lucky enough to spot lots of deer, but alas no dolphins. I have managed to fill 4 camera films & a 512 mb camera, off tomorrow have fun
