The house is just perfect it had every thing we needed. Views from the lounge window are just fab, spent a lot of time just looking out with a glass of wine of course!
The weather has not been had and we managed to do a couple of walks….The drive to Lochinver was lovely we managed to get about 20 foot away from a stay who just stood while we took photos. Also saw plenty of birds on the water but no seals ):
The pie shop very disappointing, over priced and teh pies…..Well Gregg are better!!!
The walk to “the falls” on way back just brilliant, it took us about 21/2 hours but worth it, especially since we saw a golden eagle on the way, also lots of reds along this walk.
Later in week we went up Stac Pollaidh….. OME! thought I was dying! But I’m proud to say, I made it and the views from the top are fantastic. (also impressed my hubby as he never thought I’d do it).
Summer Isles hotel closed for food and the pub didn’t get to eat at. We did though get some fresh seafood (prawns & Spinies) from local fisherman, very god. Managed a visit to Hydroponicum before it closed, very interesting, going to try it back home.
It has been a great week, will def come back some time, a big thank you to the owners Mark & Sadie
