(14 years on New years there….teeenage sweethearts), and the previous entries are correct, you instantly feel chilled, I can’t imagine anyone being stressed here, we felt at home right away & the house had a nice ‘feel’ to it. Our 1st couple of days/nights were spent locally as the weather was very stormy, infact on Monday evening I thought the house was gonna end up on the Summer Isle, however here we & it remain. Tuesday woke to sun shining, stunning…….went to ‘Achnahaird bay’ (which can be seen on the map in the hall) & it was breath taking, only ones on the perfect beach,…..heaven!!
Coming back, among the rocks and mountains as backdrop we spotted a stag standing proudly, I almost screamed (glad I kept it in & didn’t scare him), he stood for ages, looking night at the camera allowing us to take loads of pics, we felt very honoured & blessed. (This is the only way to shoot these magical creatures, not with a gun……stalkers take note!!!!).
Wed went to ‘Achmelvich beach’ which was our far & the only give away that it wasn’t abroad was us wrapped up, also ‘Clachtoll beach’ is amazing. (where my sister has a caravan). Saw 2 buzzards. Going to check out ‘Garvie bay’ tomorrow (all beaches are found on map in hall). All in all an amazing trip & house, very friendly & helpful owners, just one thing is love to shake the hand of ‘Heather from Shripshire’ (See 1st entry in book), how this chick spent her time alone here!!! never know, but good on her!! I’d be terrified!! Anyway hope you enjoy your time as much as we did, are blessed to see any wildlife & sunsets (seen a smasher we ere), and if your here with your man, ask him’ to get the fire going, scatter candles, lights out of course, background motown on & a massage………heaven!! Hope the holiday were taking straight from here is as grand.
P.S. At night, put all the lights out & look through all the windows (or better still go out to the garden), and look at the stars……..its amazing….+ a meal by the window with t-lites is great too…………enjoy:)
