Views to make the heart soar, the freshest air anywhere in the U.K., the local people so genuinely warm and friendly and we’ve eaten like royalty! Also enjoyed all the weather in all its variety, and many time walks too.
We particularly recommend the local pub in the village where we’ve had several exceptional (and unpretentious) meals. That lass knows how to cook. Also the produce from the smokehouse, especially the organic bacon, and the pic place up at Lochinver are worthy if their excellent reputation.
The house has given as almost every comfort (just looking forward to a both!) and the large open plan living space is a lovely place to pass the time when the extreme weather really kicks in, or any other time for that matter.
Thanks for letting us share this gen of a hide away in a gem of a corner of the world. If you can’t relax here there really is something wrong with you!
Unfortunately since we’ve only booked for one week we must leave now, but we do so with great reluctance and already a yearing to be back.
