Although I use Summer in the looses of terms, Weather was very changeable this week. Still we got a few days of sunshine. We just love windyhill. Its a really great house to chill out in. Our 18nth son Lochlann just loves the upstairs and enjoys exploring the garden.
The beach at Achnahaird is great for kids. Lots of rock pools to splash in. We got the chance to go in a cruse round the summwer lsles. Saw seals and porpoises. We stopped at one of the islands you can see from the sitting room window. If you decide to go take same insect repellent Midges are a bit staved in the island. Even so still worth going.
A little tip about the Summer lsles Hotel. They don’t provide for young children. If you want to still go best to try the bar from 5-30 pm. Take out child seat. The pub along the road is much better if you have kids. They have high chairs, kids menu. Food is cooked fresh too.
The only problem for us when we stay at Windy is it becomes very expensive. Last time we came we decided it needed a new kitchen. This time we’ve decided to upgrade the shower also. SO in November/December we’re going to install an en-suite off the twin room and add a bathroom. Reading previous comments we agree a bath would be great.
