Arrived in the middle of a gale and leaving in the middle of a hurricane! Can’t beleive that two weeks have gone so quickly, in other ways it feels
like we’ve been here for years. Bonded with this amazing house immediately, The steve and I are old pols now. Words fail me to describe the views, the ambience of the
place, the sight of a majestic stag looking down on us from a crag.
T don’t relax well, my husband says but I will take home memories of my first cup of tea in the morning looking at the ever changing view, and in the leather cheews
at midnight, glass in hand, David Sanborn playing in the background. Just about everything is closed in January. The pub only opens at weekends, but its well with a
visit as the food is excellent and the people very friendly and hospitable. All there is to do really is walk and gaze and talks in this amazing area. Very good for the food stirling on the hot hopefully.
We will be back soon. A special ‘thank you’ to my amazing husband for making the last two weeks so wonderful and for the surprise gift on our last night here – didn’t see that one coming, and I will treasure it always.
