Many years have passed since our last visit in October 1995 to Windyhill

The house was almost new when we last stayed. Little has changed. The Location is as superb as we remembered, and the house warm and welcoming.

The only miss is the brilliant wet-room which we loved, and lusted at, over since! Of course we understand the needs of young families for a bath and overall the house

is a perfect holiday home. The views are magnificent in way weather – and one Stove is lovely. For January the Weather’s been unexpectedly kind. Will and stormy most nights but generally dry in day light hours – allowing us many good walks, alert at lower levels most days, except for CUl Mor on the one calm day.

Achnahaird beach and coastal stretch was exhilarating, Ullapool this was windy but interesting. Lael Forest Trail were sheltered, and the walk around Stac Polly was superb in Sunshine interspersed with windy showers. Assyat has long been a favorite part of the world for us – we usually base ourselves at Achnahaird canpsite in summer months, so seeing especially for our dog, Sheigra!

Many thanks for a great week – we will be back – hopefully before another 12 years go by!
