Dear Mark and Sadie,
We had a really lovely holiday staying at Windyhill. It is extremely comfortable with the most amazing views. We have stayed ( and I have cooked) in many self catering properties and I found the range of equipment and dishes etc the best I have come across. Polbain stores delivered food for our arrival and had put it away in the fridge or elsewhere for us. Very kind of them. We were very lucky with the weather and in fact the place got quite hot at one point, perhaps from solar gain as well as the heaters. We eventually worked out how to switch them off but maybe some instructions could be included in the file with all the appliance booklets in it? The Wifi worked very well too but would it be possible to allow outgoing phonecalls on a paying basis as mobile phone coverage seemed unreliable. Is there any access to the shore? We were lucky enough to see porpoises in front of the house.
It is a truly wonderful part of the world, with scenery and walks that are quite unique. We did some boat trips to the Summer Isles and whale watching from Gairloch, we visited Handa Island and had a very interesting walk with a geologist at Knockan Crag, in addition to playing on the beach and climbing. There was something for all six of us. Thank you,
Dorothy Walgate
