We hopefully will not be our last. The view when we walked up to stairs to the lounge was breathtaking and set the mood for the rest of the week. The house was pristine so thank you to the lady who prepares it for guests and also to the very considerate had who virtually tip toed every morning to check the hot tub. Moo out dog loved the garden and couldn’t wait for her daily inn on the beach. Nubby even flew a kite at the beach, something he hadn’t done for years.
After speaking to the lovely lady in the gift shop we ventured over ” the wee mad road” to Lochinver (fully intend to buy the book of the same name when we get home, The Lochuer larder was lovely for lunch. The local pub was also pretty good but was disappointed by the Pipers School – had no atmosphere and was quite dismal
although the cake was good the scone with jam and cream was not!!!
The weather was kind the first three days but then rained by varying degrees, it in no way dampend our stay as we were happy to chill by the window with our books and nice bottle of wine.
We are sad to leave but happy that we have discovered such a beautiful house and area of Scotland. We will be back.
