Very well equipped house – we had everything we needed during our stay here. It was so good to have the hot tub ready for us when we arrived after a very long journey!
We’ve been extremely lucky with the weather – only one rainy afternoon – the rest of the week has been dry and we’ve had some beautiful sunny days.
We’ve done a lot of exploring around the local area, including a visit to Achnahaird beach and a little coastal walk, which is signed from the road just past Achiltibuie. We also had a drive down to Ullapool, which is very quiet at this time of year, and a very scenic drive up to Loch Inver. The rest of the time we’ve spent either in the hot tub or watching DVD’s in front of the log fire. The house is so warm and comfortable and it’s been lovely to come back to after our trips out.
Overall, we’ve had a fantastic week and would highly recommend both the house and the area to anyone.
P. S The wildlife watching has been good too, with Red Deer every day – including several roadside stops which posed impressively for photos. Considering that it is journey, 44 special of birds was good, with the highly being Rod graise en route, Great worth on drive in the bay and twite, Reed Burtng, siskei and Barnacle geese from the window.
