lots of new hill tracks and great to come back and collapse into the window seats – some old favorites, the Quirang the Achins booshop in Inverkirkaig, the caves at Inchnadamph (including some new ones at Traliqill) and new delights – the broch at Polglass just along the road with the ruins of two old settlements tucked into it, a climb up to squrr on Fridhleir at the end of the road above culnacraig on a day of breathless heat to a cool breeze and stuperclbirs visit at the top.
Walk out to stoer sed stack in a thick mist past the atmospheric week of the chain home WW2 Radar Station, smashing Loune Sausage butties at car park cafe.
Achmelvich Beach to Allan abrodhan horizontal mill, nice walk, shame about beach though, one starttingly beautiful place, scarred big ugly standing chalets I look at 1960 view in the ranger hut).
Smashing meals in An Fuaran and nearly ones at the Piping college cafe – thanks for the welcome basket, will certainly spread the word.
P.S. No signal for telly after second day – but who misses it anyway in God’s little our at Achiltibuie?
