We enjoyed the hot tub, music system, sauna (but turn it an at least 30 mins before you want to use it!) and the well equipt kitchen. We walked Ben Mor Cogaich which was fantastic, fabulous views and saw a golden eagle! Took about 5 hrs for the full circuit. Also did the Achnahaird Bay around to Garnic Bay which was lovely – about 4 hrs as path makes for slow-going. Saw a group of 7 deer in the held to the left of the house in the evening.
We went to An fuaran Bar one night but preferred the food at salt seafood kitchen just a ten minute walk along the road. Also went to the bar at the Summer Isles Hotel which has nice. We are shopping at Lochinver to get some pies an our my home! Agree with some earlier comments that it’s not so easy to find dog friendly walks as there are so many sheep everywhere, and the only place to eat nearby that accepts dogs in the Piping School cafe next door (which is also lovely). We really have had a great stay and are sad to leave but hopeful to return one day.
My only minor complaint is that it would be nice to have a bigger bed in the upstairs bedroom as the room is huge. Also, with it being so warm and stunny this week the house warms up so much during the day that it was also very warm overnight and the driver on the bed was so thick! Maybe a thinner dunet for summer months with a blanket instead of needed? Thank you for a lovely time, we will ba back I’m sure!
