Glenlivet – Hillview cottage located in the Cairngorms Mountain Park was part of the Glenlivet Whisky Distillery up until 1952. The cottage retains much of its cosy feeling with the warmth of wood through-out the cottage. The cottage can be different things to different people, a great party house for old friends and family to get together or a romantic break for couples. The hot tub allows you to enjoy the outside no matter what time of year it is. With views of Glenlivet, wildlife and of course ever-changing scenery, it’s no wonder our guests keep coming back.
Hillview Cottage has recently had a £70,000 upgrade, It’s one of our most popular properties with guests loving the living space and warm cosy feel. We’ve upgraded the heart of the house with a fantastic new kitchen, dinning area and snug with wood burner. The cottage has also become a 7 bedroom property with Zip Beds allowing singles or doubles. Most of the bedrooms now have TVs and new carpets throughout. For a bit of fun we have also installed a Football Table. Outside the exterior is getting a facelift with larch cladding and we have also enclosed the back and front garden so dogs can be let out. This fantastic property is an amazing choice for family get together, biking holidays, skiing trips and chill out time.

The area in and around Glenlivet Moray is magnificent with Cairngorms on the door step, Aviemore is only 40 minutes away and the scenic coast of Morayshire only 20 minutes away. It would be a crime not to do at least one of the beautiful walks that cover this area of Scotland while staying at Hillview. Also Glenlivet Whisky Distillery is in very close proximity. Hillview luxury cottage makes for a fantastic Christmas or New Year cottage with ample room for a family get together. You can enjoy the luxury at an affordable price. The selfcatering cottage has enough room and living space to give everyone there own area but at the same time still offer that cozy feeling a Scottish cottage should.
We appreciate that at first glance, the cottage may seem expensive. But is it? It can sleep up to 12 people and if you work out the per person, per night rate, it is comparable quite often cheaper than most B & B accommodation!

We stayed here with extended family mid July. The house has everything you could ask for. The kitchen is very well equipped and there are high chairs and cots for very young kids. There was a large group of us staying here for the week but the house is so big that there was plenty of room for everyone. There are games and toys for kids and lots of books and films for all ages. There is also a full sky package which is a great touch when you just want to relax and watch a film after a day exploring.
There are lots of walks close by and even a kids play park just down the road.
A tour around the distillery is a must considering it is just behind the house. But they also have a lovely cafe there too if you fancy lunch out and some beautiful homemade soup and cakes.
I cannot recommend this house highly enough, we will definitely be back next year.
